MASSIN Mission: Neurosurgeons can do better

History

In the last 40 years Prof. Madjid Samii deeply influenced the education of a large number of neurosurgeons who have become today's leading neurosurgeons working in the five continents around the world. The majority of these doctors are responsible for the education of young neurosurgeons, and are working to keep Dr. Samii's philosophy. In 2002, some former pupils of Prof. Madjid Samii founded a group called MASCIN, Madjid Samii Congress of International Neurosurgeons. This group was headed by Klaus von Wild from Münster, Germany, Ricardo Ramina from Curitiba, Brazil and Marcos Tatagiba from Tübingen, Germany. The aim of MASCIN was to give continuity of Samii's philosophy, operative technique and management principles in the different fields of neurological surgery.
