The first MASCIN Congress was organized by Prof. Dr. Marcos Tatagiba and took place In August 2007 (11th to 14th) at the castle of Weitenburg near Tübingen in Southwestern Germany. Over seventy colleagues from several countries participated in a high level scientific program consisting of 42 lectures and various social activities. Prof. Peter Jannetta was one of the invited speakers. Tübingen is a lovely small university-city located in a wonderful region in South-Germany, surrounded by mountains and many historical places. The participants had the opportunity to play golf, enjoy activites at Neckar river, visit an old monastery with dinner and dinning at the castle of Weitenburg.
